Janet
Bernstein,
Professional Organizer
Janet Bernstein was born and raised in England.
She moved to the United States in her early twenties. As an
adult Janet has lived in five countries on three continents.
She speaks three languages including French and Russian. Her
previous ‘nomadic’ lifestyle has given her great expertise in
the area of relocating and packing (with three young children
in tow).
Janet fell into professional organizing after getting a
reputation at her children’s school for being super organized.
“I was asked to organize the school attic which was a mammoth
project.” She says. “The satisfaction of completing that job
was so great I knew I’d found my calling.”
Janet built up a substantial word of mouth clientele in
New York City before settling in the Philadelphia area. Janet
considers herself a minimalist with a heart. “I’m not a
professional organizer who advises my clients to toss out
everything meaningful to them,” she says. “We all have
sentimental things that should be kept for the next
generation. Sometimes however, we need someone to help us
define what’s really meaningful and what’s just taking up
precious space!”

Janet is also available to give motivational talks on time
management and ‘Finding The Organized You.’ Her practical,
humorous, and down to earth manner has been well received by
audiences. Janet is a member of NAPO (National Association of
Professional Organizers) and the Philadelphia Chapter of NAPO.
